If you'd like to play along, Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook community where we post up 6 sentences of one of our LGBT stories every Saturday. It's been fun and you can find it here. Be sure to check out all the offers! Watch your TBR pile grow. Comments are love.
I'm continuing with Kept Tears this time. I wanted something from Rhys's pov for a change. I wanted it to be more directly about his thoughts on Aaron but apparently that's not as near to the front of the book as I thought (and I'm rushing around packing for spring break. Nothing too exciting but I AM going back home to Pittsburgh where this novel is set.). So instead have the first mentions that Rhys is not human and what it's like for someone like him to date one.
The prickling on the back of his neck made Rhys pause and look around, but he saw no one following him. As a prince of Tylwyth Teg, he was used to violence aimed his way by the Unseelie Court. The Unseelie, always ready to do evil, were only held in check by the Seelie fae, and, as one of their crown princes, Rhys was a target. That was probably why it was foolish to get involved with yet another human, but Rhys couldn’t help himself. They were exotic, ephemeral, as fleeting as mayflies. He couldn’t help falling for them.

I still love Kanda's indifference to my excitement.
