suggestions for communicating welcome

So I'm going around TRYING to comment to people in my circles but it's not going so well. wordpress is not a problem using the open id but blogspot IS. I've tried using name/url, open id and the livejournal option.

either it IS posting (which the few I checked it was not) and I'm hitting them up several times or it just defaults right back to the comment page when I hit post.

Suggestions? I rarely talk to people on other blogs so I didn't realize that this would be an issue as badly as it is

ETA - i can in via the anonymous option which might just do though I suspect many have this option turned off (which I can't really blame them)

For some reason my Google profile doesn't read correctly on Blogger (Blogger wants me to set up a Blogger account -- um no thanks). Which is really frustrating because I like to get follow up comments sent to my email. It took a while but the Open ID seems to work for WordPress now, perhaps it just takes multiple tries on the same blog? Doesn't help with my desire to get follow up comments sent to email.

Before this campaign I didn't realize how many people have Blogger. Very challenging for sure. I wish I had a suggestion for you. {hugs} Good luck.

thanks. I'll just have to muddle through. I suspect there are so many blogger journals since Rachel herself has a blogger account I think.

Word press is working and I did find if i do it completely anonymous (and just put my name in the post) that it would at least let me say hello but not really encouraging in maintaining contact.

I have an LJ account, which I keep separated from this one, but I can still use it to comment with Open ID on blogger (and have in the past). So I'm not sure why it's giving you so much trouble =/ I guess just keep trying? Blogger has been having a number of weird bugs lately so that might have to do with it too.

I found out that you have to log in the ID and press comment twice until it comes up with a captcha before it will actually post. It is kind of a pain in the ass.

yeah I tried that but it wasn't always working because sometimes i'd get the captcha and still not see the comment post. oh well, I can just use the anon feature with those who have it enabled and be done with it and put my name in the post
