Having story ideas and having no time in which to write them. Yes, some of this is very much my own fault. I readily admit that. I need to figure out a way to work without getting distracted and lately that's just not been happening. Hell, not lately, for the past year and a half. I don't like this one bit.

I know if i concentrate, I can bang out stories pretty easily. Stories that people actually want to buy. 2010 proved that nicely.

I just wish I had more motivation or at least understood why my focus has been so shot.

I'm not sure how to do that. I know when I mowed Mom's lawn the other day, ideas were flowing. There's something about physical mindless exercise that helps give me ideas. I hate mowing, hate hate hate it (and have a lousy lawn mower, to boot), but I may need to get a decent one and start mowing once a week, just for the ideas.

sounds like a plan. Of course holding onto those ideas and getting them onto paper is the hard part.

for me driving long distances does this, which i no longer do unless I got to Columbus/Athens/Huntington and if i take the recorder nothing happens.

I also can do it if I go to bed early enough and aren't fascinated by the book next to my bed.
