Dreamspinner is still celebrating fall. October 5-7: All eBooks in the Shifters and Vampires categories will be 25% off.

This includes my Vampires in Vegas short story Crisis in Faith. So if you ever wanted to see what Arrigo and Luc get up to, now is the time.

As for the other things, it's been a long sleepless week and it's the little things getting to me, like seeing someone say they've had it with female urban fantasy stories because it always ends up in a love triangle usually with a werewolf and vampire. Honestly, I can not say that assessment is wrong. That is very often the case. So why did it rankle? The UF I'm trying to sell under my non-erotica name could almost fit in there. However, the main character is a vampire, a Pompeiian courtesan and frankly, polyamorous and sexually aggressive. There is no love triangle. She's rather free with sex (but not so much actual love).

So now I think, is there even a point in bothering if it's just all cliche?

It's always worth it, because if you haven't tried, then you don't know if other people will like it.

This is true. And in many respects Maddie is a lot like Bo on Lost Girl...only you know, intelligent
