This has become a very popular way for authors to help each other promote their talent and their current publications. It seems to be far more popular on blogger/blogspot than here, unfortunately and every time I try to play along I find it's not always possible. I can pretty much only respond if they have name/url options on their blogs. For some reason the livejournal option almost always ends up with a bad url error. Ah well.
But it IS a cool idea. I've done several and I would like to have one here on my journal someday. With the schedule I have in the next few months I'm not sure it will be possible until 2013 but still, I would like to.
I've just joined another one (and hope I can actually see it through, points to that schedule). I've added a few friends to both my lj and to twitter as a result of these. I have no real way of knowing if it's resulted in any sales but it helps to build your platform and the publishers today are all about that. I've joined a new one that really fits my interests well. It's being hosted by Paranormal Freebies which is a pretty cool blog to start with.
I think almost every one of my stories with Dreamspinner press have been paranormal with the exception of Ghost of Jupiter which is SF. The novella that came out this week is definitely historical paranormal so I'm really looking forward to this bloghop.
