It helps to promote yourself. It really helps to be organized about said promotions. For instance, I signed up for another author's list just so I could chat about SF/Fantasy since nearly ALL my short stories and my upcoming novella are in those genres. So where was I between 7-9? Not online at that chat even though I was there at five thirty familiarizing myself with the rules.
No I was somewhere editing an old vampire story only to realize that it wasn't right for the anthology and oops suddenly it was 930 and I had missed the entire promotion. Now there's a way to shoot yourself in the foot.
So no promotion. No viable story. This is no way to do business
on a different note, I got the redone pencils for my cover. WOW.
