ah plot where are you?

I'm working on the scarred soldier story. I know mostly about Aaron's injury, what he wants to be now that he's recovered and that he's a steampunk geek. I know that I wanted Sebastian to be sidhe.

What I don't have is plot. Getting Aaron past his self consciousness over having lost an arm and having serious burn scars is certainly one subplot but these stories should be around 10-20K. I need more than that. I'm sure it'll have to revolve around Sebastian's other worldly nature but right now I'm stuck. Sigh

Ugh. I wrote about 2200 words and now I'm deciding that the beginning is a bad start and am thinking of writing it so that it's more action. I always suck at the beginnings. :-/

ugh. My issue with beginnings is I'm overly tempted to make things an info dump which would be all wrong of course.
