Back to my regularly scheduled program
Nov. 30th, 2011 10:32 pmI won nano. Whee. I'm quite excited naturally.
But that leaves the void of what to do now. Traditionally I set aside my nano and leave it for years. Not a good tradition. However, I'm one chapter away from finishing my second ever nano and about 2-3 chapters from finishing my very first so they're getting priority.
2012 is probably going to have much different priorities than the last 2 years. I really do need to back off the short stories and work on an erotic novel. I know I have that in me easily if I keep from getting distracted so that's the plan.
Let's see how well it works

Date: 2011-12-01 05:30 am (UTC)Shelving the short stories to concentrate on the novel sounds like a good plan. Novels pay better, if you can sell them. Plus they seem to get easier the more of them you write. Once you develop a rhythm, you could be a regular novel-writing machine.

Date: 2011-12-01 03:50 pm (UTC)they do pay better. And honestly with the group of publishers I'm comfortable with none of the anthologies baring one is even tempting me so...
I could. I have. I mean I have so many finished novels lying around waiting for me to do the hard work of editing them
