almost halfway there

My nano novel is flying by quickly. I'm pleased with it. I'm very pleased really. I hope others will like it. I do need to take a small break and work on my vacation short story which i had to reconstruct. That was depressing.

I still haven't replaced my dead computer which is very depressing but that's what happens. sigh.

I know this is short but typing on this netbook sucks and I want to get back to the writing. Just a short break to say WHEE

He thinks he's Sherlock Holmes and above the whinging. Though now his girlfriend and her buddy are trying to tell me how they're not the villains and this happened in the past and did I know this, and...?

How nice, to have a self-writing novel. I'm starting to plug on mine, having barely-1,000-word days, but mostly because there's the big Gainesville art show coming up Saturday, and Dad's birthday is that same day, so Saturday is already a dead loss for word count and Friday won't be much better (birthday party prep, since there won't be much time to make food Saturday).

Oh, and an uncle is coming to the birthday party, and staying the night. Special. I'll be holding onto my word count by the skin of my teeth by Monday, if I'm not actually behind. Sigh.

My local ML is up to 33,000 words, by the way. I still don't know how she does it.

good luck to you. I'm going to a play tonight (provided the nausea abates) so that kills friday. Have fun at the art show I'd say allow those monkeys to jump around in your brain as you're walking along but you're going with your mom right?

We're putting him in the Holiday Inn Express up the road in Silver Springs, is where we're putting him. Making a 70-something-year-old uncle sleep on a blow-up mattress on the living room floor just wasn't a viable plan for anybody involved.
