Inspiration in the oddest places
Sep. 17th, 2011 09:49 pmIt's hardly a secret that even though I write erotica, it has a definite slant, usually urban fantasy or mystery with a little SF thrown in. Today I was at the Mothman festival and the paranormal investigator and author Rosemary Ellen Guily was there. She did a talk about Djinn.
I've always been a bit fascinated by the Djinn and she has a new book out on the subject. Anyhow she made a comment about Djinn being the new vampire in paranormal romance which sort of struck home since my mind wandered off in the talk thinking just that. I could use this.
Okay, so it's not original but hell, I write vampires and there's nothing original there too but that doesn't mean it still can't be an interesting story. I'll file it away under things to consider down the road.
