the zen of gardening

Okay in spite of reading zen gardening books and the such, there is nothing really zen about gardening for me. It's mostly made of dirt, sweat and cursing. It's still therapeutic for me and I guess that's where the zen comes in.

I just took out my first harvest of a half dozen tomatoes of three varieties, herbs and eggplants. whee.

Thank you very much to my friends who stepped up to beta A Brief Respite, a demon hunter story that I'm sending in to the halloween project and for volunteering to read the other demon hunter story IF I ever get it done. yikes.

I never understood what anybody got out of gardening -- except for food, of course. It was always just misery to me. On the other hand, I've been told by more than one person that I don't know how to relax, so maybe I just never approached it with the right attitude.

That's because gardening is a good thing, and good things just don't happen in winter!

No most good stuff happens in the winter, gardening is the one thing that makes summer bearable.
