jana_denardoI'm crossposting this to my new word press blog as well but I want to keep LJ since it's a format I've been on for so many years and have special feelings for.
I'm sticking with Blood Red Roulette (and horrified after scanning down the page to find something, that there are two typos that the spellcheck and I (and my betas) missed and words that the spellcheck SHOULD have caught. ) Naturally I see them after this has been submitted. Sigh.
(This is Veer Towers, Arrigo lives in the penthouse because my characters get to have way cooler places to live than I do. This scene takes place there.)
This scene takes place in the first day Siobhan has joined Arrigo in Vegas. He and Siobhan are on again, off again lovers (off in this story) for centuries. She's joined him to help track down Eleni, the villainess of the piece. I think there's technically seven sentences here....
Luc’s got this cute waif thing going on. I know you’re a sucker for waifs.”
“We’re not lovers.” Arrigo fidgeted under her stare.
“What?”
“I know when you’re lying.” Siobhan grinned broadly.
Arrigo felt a flush race up his cheeks. “I’m not lying…but we’ve kissed.
