It's been a really crappy weekend since it looks like the transmission in my car is giving up the ghost, but better now than next weekend when I'll be (in theory) at Animazement in Raleigh NC. Sigh.

I'm sticking with Blood Red Roulette (though it would probably help if I didn't skip all over the place. I didn't think this through much). At one point Arrigo mentions the only place he can still see his gods is if he goes to Caesar's Palace like this pic.

IN this scene it's actually Luc and Arrigo's second meeting and they're getting to talk. Luc has been beaten rather badly by his father and brother after someone tells them Luc was in the alley behind the bar they work in with Arrigo. Arrigo is offering to help Luc find a job and get away from his family (even though he barely knows him at this point)

“Karma again? What were you in a past life? A serial killer?” Luc’s wide grin took the sting out of his words, but Arrigo flinched none the less. He had killed more people over the centuries than a serial killer’s wet dream, granted most of them had been rogue supernaturals.

“It does a person good to help others,” Arrigo replied.

“Not in my world,” Luc muttered, mirroring Arrigo’s wince.

Sounds like Luc and Arrigo each have interesting histories!

They do. Arrigo was a Roman soldier as a mortal and now deals with all the bad-guy supernaturals so...

Nice bit of tension in Luc's answer. (Has he told Arrigo how he got the bruises and why?)

Poor Luc. :( Sounds like he's in good hands, though.

Ah, nothing like double meanings in a conversation with a vampire! :) This brings back fond memories of 'Forever Knight'. :)= Love the interplay between Luc and Arrigo! Also, kudos for using the Trevi fountain as a picture! Nothing like Baroque architecture! (sighs appreciatively)

thanks. Man haven't thought about Forever Knight in a long time. Loved that show.

Trevi via Vegas but it's still a lovely replica.

Wow, that's a replica? It's amazing! I've seen the original (once, though I hope to see it again, soon :)), but I've never seen this replica! It's stunning!

Dark Knightie, Unnamed Faction, Dark Trinity, Cousin, Ravenette, Unholy Alliance; yes, I was that obsessed with 'Forever Knight'. ;)= It left such a deep impression I wrote fanfic snippets for it. Eventually, I posted them at 'Archive of Our Own'. :)=

Yep, Vegas does nothing half way. I've never seen the original (hoping next year)

haha, I hear you. I never did any fanfic for it but Buffy and Angel on the other hand....lots of that on AO3

Hmm, you might not like the 'Buffy' fan fiction I've written, although I do respect the Buffy/Angel pairing, even when Angel is having a 'moment' with Xander, or I'm femslashing Buffy with Faith. :) I tried not to have any of my stories deny the love Buffy and Angel have for each other, which was extremely powerful in the canon. However, I did have great fun writing a comedy of errors from Scott Hope's point of view called, 'There Was Never a Hope with Her', where I took a whole bunch of scenes during third season, showing how he misinterpreted the moment as seeing Faith and Buffy having something going on between them. (It was amazing how much in the canon there was that could be misinterpreted!) Thrawn liked it so much, he asked me to do a sequel/challenge. I'm now in the middle of an AU story of third season 'Buffy' called 'A Hopeless Situation', which Thrawn suggested to me. I'm not sure when I'm going to finish writing it, though, which I warned him about in advance. He asked me to post what I've got, so I've posted. :)= I intend to finish it, although I keep getting distracted by other things.

That's cool. I never wrote any slash for Buffy (as Tara/Willow is canon so I don't see it as slash and never wrote much of that any how). Honestly my favorite ship was Spike/Dru. I did a lot with Giles and Connor too (separately not as a couple)
