Thought I'd toss in Vegas's Trevi fountain as Arrigo spends a bit of time telling Luc about his former religion from back in the day: Way back in the day.

The best news for the week is I've 'finished' the edits for Blood Red Roulette. I'm still waiting on my beta reader and I need to put in a few lines about Taabu leaving town (so she can come back later). I also stopped working Luc's accent around chapter 20 so I need to go back and work on that just a little bit more. Hopefully in a week or so I can send this in, definitely by the end of April! No excuse not to.

I do also need to reread Crisis in Faith yet but I'm having issues with my ereader. Sigh. I know that it doesn't quite jibe with the revamped novel. I need also to include an author's notes with this novel as it needs it.

The sadder news is once again I did misremember the word count on Weird West. This is the second time in the last two anthology attempts out of three that I've done this (and it was nearly three for three). I swear I need an old fashioned paper calendar right by this computer where I can write stuff like this one it because I never open the computer files I make notes in.

So yes, Corpse Powder is too long already and it's not finished. I'm not worrying about it. I'm going to just finish THEN go back and trim it. I'm not sure how but I'll have to do it. With only 4 weeks left I'm not sure I could pull off starting over and keeping this one to sell as a novella. I do know I'm not the only one who had this problem. I find fantasy/SF/spec fic HARD to do as a short story because it's hard to set up the world building without going over the word count. Sigh. I will make it work. Somehow.

Also I'm not sure about either title, Blood Red Roulette or Corpse Powder. One more thing to think about.

You know, I never knew there was a replica of the Trevi fountain in Vegas! I only know about the one in Rome. Learn something every day....

Research trips are the best part of writing! I love your Star Trek t-shirt, BTW...

They are. I'd like my next one to be to Scotland/Isle of Man and maybe even Cornwall.

Thanks. Love it but it's of super clingy fabric that isn't the most flattering

I hope you get to make that trip!

Sadly t-shirts always seem to made from unkind material, which is why I don't wear them much.

some day

yeah some are great and actually here they're all cotton but some cling like skin, some are thin to the point of ridiculous and others are what you want and since I get most online I never know...
