Sunday Small Talk

I'm putting this up way early as I'll be traveling back after spring break tomorrow (which is why I missed posting it last week). It was a nice battery recharge with the parents but not a lot of writing got done.

I do like long drives though. It gives me time to think and wrestle with the creative conundrums. On the way here I managed to outline the things I want to happen in my Weird West story tentatively called Corpus Dust which is as close to outlining I actually get. I know the what but now I have to figure out how to keep the word count reasonable when it really doesn't want it to be.

I need to light the fire under my ass on getting it done too. Sigh.

I didn't get much edited on Blood Red Roulette. I'm very much hoping to get it done by the end of the month and I think it's likely I can with one real problem: the flashlight that died over Christmas break had all my lecture notes on it and I thought I had good duplicates on my hard drives at home and work but apparently not so I have tons of work to do there which will slow me down.

Other than that I'm not really working on anything. I set the two novellas aside so I could dedicate my time to the above two stories. Come April I'll be doing camp nano and working on my SF novel I started with nano in November.

Here's hoping.
