I'm back to the very first novel I showcased in this community: Kept Tears about my disabled war vet, Aaron and his bisexual lover who just happens to be a fey prince, one of the Tylwyth Teg. It's the day after Aaron's met Rhys for the first time and Aaron's discussing it with his best friend, Corrine (and boy I really wanted to give this one more sentences to complete it but let's leave it at Corrine does convince him to give it a try).


As they waited for the rest of their lunch, Corrine leaned on the table, her eyes glinting. “Did you get Hottie’s number?”

A blush leapt up his face. “Yes.”

A wide grin bloomed. “Did you call him?”

“No.”

She tapped his toe with hers. “Why the hell not?”

“Because what man wants to go out with someone like me?” Aaron flexed his mechanical fingers. “One who wakes up screaming in the night and has a body that makes people flinch?”
