Rainbow Snippets

jana_denardoThis week's snippets finds me snowed in. I love snow but I AM glad it left me my power (I live in the middle of nowhere. Bad weather be it rain or snow often leaves me without power). It looks beautiful outside.

There's been some good stuff. Hopefully I've fixed it so people can comment here (some of it is beyond my control, sorry to say. LJ has made some security changes that are not that friendly to anonymous posting). I'm still waiting to hear back from my webmaster about the new website/blog which hopefully will be easier to post comments to. LJ used to be easy. SIGH.
Anyhow, this picks up from the last two weeks (you can find it via my tags if you missed it), from Blood Red Roulette. Arrigo was going to snack on Luc behind the Alibi bar but didn't. However they were spotted and Luc's family jumped to the wrong conclusion. In this week's snippet, we're at the next day and it was hard to find six sentences that made sense and conveyed what I wanted it to about the night before. Ah well. For context, Luc is on the sidewalk selling water out of a cooler when Arrigo literally stumbles over him. To Arrigo's horror, Luc's been badly beaten.
Luc was pretty, not handsome. With his fluffy curls, he was downright cherubic. He’d have no problem convincing lonely older men to give him gifts, not that Arrigo put himself in that category even though he was older than most. It would also explain the bruises, if Luc’s father thought he was in the alley turning tricks. Now Arrigo truly regretted his impulsive would-be snacking. Something stirred in his gut about the causes of Luc’s injuries.
ETA - I'm not getting the message that anonymous posting is disabled this week so maybe I DID manage to fix it.
