Sunday Small Talk

It's been a little while. I was on a working vacation in San Antonio and then trying to catch up afterward. I love using places I've been to as settings for stories. In spite of the rich history there, San Antonio was just not my sort of place, mostly the climate. You'll note that most of my stories are set in the north.

I did, however, love the ghost tours and I can definitely see me working on a Halloween themed short story set there. It would allow me to work in some history and one of my passions, ghost hunting.

My flash fic for Queer Sci-Fi will be in the anthology. Winners of the contest will be announced next week. I'm not thinking I'll win since mine wasn't very LGBT but what can you do in 300 words? It really feels like the start of something bigger and who knows maybe it will be.

I'm still waiting on the covers for Snowbound and Soldiers of the Sun. I'm expecting to see the pencils fairly soon. I might be done with the edits at this point. We're getting pretty close to release time!

I'm still hard at work on Blood Red Roulette. I'm up to where it ended when it was a short story so now I have to expand on the end. My fears are it might get too long but I'm going to let the story spin as it will and worry about that sort of thing later. If I have more to do on it, I'll be using it for camp Nano in July.
