It's all very exciting. Now to etch out some time to read the rest of the anthology myself!

25. Do any of your characters have pets? Tell us about them.

Not really. I tend to forget the pet exists when I get caught up in the main action of the story. Rasia, one of the characters in Unquiet Ghosts in the above mentioned anthology has a cat (not in that story but in others in the same verse). Mostly you only see it when she's in her bedroom in need of solace.

In Storm Chaser, the female lead had a cat that was critical (and a great humerous moment) to the opening of the book -- and completely vanished after that. I had to go back and explain that the darn thing got adopted by another character, otherwise its end would not be in keeping with a romantic comedy.

In the mystery I'm working on now, there was a family dog described in the outline -- which never showed up at all in the first draft.
