What's Up Wednesday

jana_denardoWow I've been bad about updating. And this might be my last WUW for a couple weeks.
WHAT I'M READING The M/M romance group on goodreads is having their Don't Read in the Closet writing challenge, Love's Landscape, and I've been reading the stories there. I just finished The Devil's Hearth an Appalachian mystery by Phillip DePoy. I think I may have read it before. I know I've read a Fever Develin book before. It feels more like a celebration of Appalachian culture than a mystery though. Also just finished Black Butler #16. It was good for about half then it became a cricket game. Drawn cricket games are infinitely less interesting than the real thing.
WHAT I'M WRITING I thought I was finished with my Love's Landscape novella, Triskelion edits but I was wrong. Got another minor round yesterday. I've done a little editing on Soldiers of the Sun and rewrote a chapter for it. Still, I'm in edit mode. I would have liked to have written more but it's just not happening. Sigh.
WHAT INSPIRES ME RIGHT NOW Still struggling with this. My health and my parents are bad. It's humid so that's whittling away my love of nature. I'm a bit overworked. I suppose what's really inspiring me now is Pittsburgh and it's history.
WHAT ELSE I'VE BEEN UP TO Prepping for surgery and trying to make huge amounts of headway for my fall lectures before the surgery has taken up all my time. It's not been a fun summer. In other words, no change from last week. Oh it was my birthday yesterday. I went out to the casino won a little bit of money.
