feeling hopeful now

While I didn't advance into the judging round of the flash fic (nor did I expect to) I had enough complete stranger (at the moment) tell me how much they liked the idea of a century year old dragon and his detective lover. that gives me motivation to finish the novel.

And I got the go ahead to resubmit the demon hunter novella. they thought it was too dark for the anthology but wouldn't mind seeing it again as a stand alone. Well yay. I'm going to reedit it now since I was rushing to beat the deadline.
