Finally finished that darn story
Jul. 28th, 2010 09:57 pmHuzzah, the myth story I'd like to shoot DSP's way is done. The beta has already pulled it to pieces like a rabid terrier in under 24 hours. However, I need a day apart from it so I can see it cleanly and start slicing and dicing.
I finished something. I was beginning to doubt myself.
Today I ran into a story by one of the young fanfic writers over in my other life. I know she just turned 18. I wish I could have written like that at 18. (Heck I wish I could write like that now). Yes there were problems here and there but it was really good work.
In my fanfic life in the last decade I have run across several young women would could write rings around some of the stuff that I've seen on the shelves (especially that of some of those very young authors that have 'made it' and I'm not sure how) As the young fangirls do most of them have faded in and out of my realm. I just hope someone keeps encouraging them to write. I think they have the talent. I just hope it doesn't die
29. How often do you think about writing? Ever come across something IRL that reminds you of your story/characters?
I'm always thinking about writing. Seriously. I think about it a lot, going to bed, driving to work, sometimes AT work.
I do come across things IRL that remind me of my stories and characters. And often my characters are inspired by the things in IRL that I see, especially the mysteries.
